K9 Web Protection processes everything 100% locally on your device. No browsing history, blocked URLs, or personal data ever leaves your machine. The app has no backend, no accounts, and no telemetry.
1. The Application
K9 Web Protection (the app) runs entirely on your computer. It does not transmit any data to Khaleel Ahmad or any third party. Specifically:
- No URLs or browsing history are logged or sent anywhere
- No blocked request counts are reported externally
- No user accounts or registration are required
- No analytics, crash reports, or update checks are made
- All configuration is stored locally in
~/.k9webprotection/config.jsonon your device only
2. This Website (k9.khaleel.eu)
The website collects minimal, anonymous data to understand how many people visit and download the app:
- Page views — a counter is incremented when you visit the homepage. No IP address, device info, or session data is stored.
- Download clicks — a counter is incremented when the download button is clicked. No personal data is attached.
This data is stored in Cloudflare KV (key-value storage) as plain integers. It is used solely to understand download demand and is never shared with third parties.
3. Cookies
This website sets one cookie only if you visit the /stats analytics dashboard and enter the correct PIN. It is a session authentication cookie (k9_auth) valid for 7 days, scoped to /stats only, and contains no personal information. No other cookies are set.
4. Third Parties
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process request metadata (IP address, user agent) as part of DDoS protection and CDN operation, subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
The download link points to GitHub Releases. GitHub may log download requests subject to GitHub's Privacy Policy.
No advertising networks, tracking pixels, or analytics SDKs are used on this website.
5. Children's Privacy
K9 Web Protection is a parental control tool designed to protect children online. The app itself collects no data from anyone, including children. This website is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from minors.
6. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the website or app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
